HAPPY BDAY TO ME.....

So much to tell you guys....but i'm still in party mode~~so yeah. Happy Bday to me!!!!

I HATE MEN...

Not really, but today, in this moment, I HATE MEN!!! Ya'll pray for me, bc I am about to go Diary of A Mad Black Woman on somebody....

I LOVED IT....

I went to see it last night, and let me say that I was very entertained. Like jumping out of my seat, clapping, and "oh no he didn't"-ing to the screen entertained. (It was opening night...sue me.) I actually enjoyed this movie and it was not predictable like most Tyler Perry films are. And I almost didn't see Madea in Tyler as he was acting. I'll buy it when it comes to DVD, and in my opinion, Janet did a really good job. The ladies behind us kept saying she was horrible, but I feel that they were hating...let me know if/when you go see it. I don't want to give the movie away...BUT I have to say that Tasha Smith STEALS the movie for me....too funny!!!

MY BUSY AZZ OCTOBER.....

So for some reason I am tremendously busy this October. I don't think that I have a free weekend to do anything! So many bdays, including mine, and so many functions....let me break it down for you so that you can see....

Oct.1st-friend from work was due to go into labor...whelp, the Dr. scheduled this one accordingly. Welcome Davin, 6lbs. 9oz to the world ladies and gentlemen!!

Oct.1st-diagnosed with strep throat! u love it right? out of commission for 3 days, Dr's orders. pissed.....

Oct. 4th-My friends 25th bday get together at Karma. So much fun, Wycelf Jean performed, got to hang out with my bubba Tyson Thompson(#28 for the Dallas Cowboys, what what!!) and saw so many people that I haven't seen in ages...loved it, but me and AJ got into a serious debate after I came out of the club(more on that later, requires some input from you guys) and I didn't go to bed until 6am, woke up at 9am

Oct. 5th- Went to the bank, ran errands, and sat for a pedi...thank the Lord, bc I don't know when I will get a breather.

Oct. 5th, 6th- TX vs. OU weekend. Nuff said.

Oct. 7th- Ron Mueck exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum. If you haven't heard of him....Google him. AMAZing!!!

Oct. 8th-14th- Working serious OT to save some cash for the next week and on the 14th I have to attend a Mercedes ride and drive event for work. WHOA!!

Oct. 15-20- Getting ready for the 80's bash that I am having with above friend from Karma, for out birthdays. NICE RIGHT?? OMG! This is what this month is boiling down to for me. You see all the down time the week before right? Yeah, not really free time. Pretty much getting ready for the party. Decorations, cake, food, drinks, music. ANY IDEAS?? Would appreciate it....for real. People, we are having a margarita machine!! You can't get in unless you are rocking straight 80's gear. So much fun....cannot wait!

Oct.22- MY BESTEST bday dinner....

Oct. 28- Book club (the last book was Child of God by Lolita Files, GREAT read)

Oct. 29- MY BDAY FINALLY....

Oct.31- Another friends bday bash, but this one involves halfnaked men....kinda excited!!! Have

So you see, I have been, and will be booked till I drop. And we are still in the 90's people, it's still hot as haites here in Dallas. I hope it cools off by the end of the month, but I don't know....there is no letting up right now. Pray that I have the right shoes to get me through this, the right wine to relax me, and the right friends to have my back in case I go insane. Then I have you guys....keep me sane...please??

I just finished reading Monnie's blog and I am sad to see that they found Nialah Franklin's body. I won't go on long, but I will say that I felt what Monnie was saying. I looked at her and I felt like I could've known her. I related to her and I read about her accomplishments and she gave me hope that I could be a single, successful, black woman. My heart goes out to her family who never once gave up hope that she was ok. I am consumed in prayer for her family and all of the people who were involved in this tragic event. And may GOD have mercy on the soul that did this to this woman...
