I'll GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO CRY ABOUT
Didn't you cringe when your mom told you that? I mean I was about 4 or 5 yrs old and I knew when she said that I needed to shut my black tail up, or she really was going to give me something to cry about. The look on her face, that is all I needed to NOT do anything to piss her off. She was crazy....but I love her for it.
I say this because as I went shopping for some things for my apartment this weekend, I came across a few things that made me ask why? Two incidents stick out in my mind and made me rethink if I wanted to become a mother.
I was in Garden Ridge on Saturday and they were having this massive sell on paintings. Me being happily not married and kid free, decide that I am going to get kind of cute, just in case, and shop till I drop bc I deserve it, and so does my home. So I'm strolling along, minding my business, and I hear glass break. Scared me a little bc it was fairly close to where I was standing and it seemed to drop on its own, that is until I see the culprit running, scared herself. She was around 5 or 6, blonde hair, blue eyes, and alone. No parents anywhere in a 50 foot radius. I think all the stares scared her more than the mirror breaking , bc she RAN. But where to? The isle over from me, not to her parents, who by the way still haven't shown their faces at this time, but to the isle over from yours truly. She is crying, muffled cries, and I go the the isle where she is. She stands there twiddling her thumbs, wide eyed, and I ask her is she okay. She automatically stops, looks at me and says nothing at first. I ask her again if she is okay and where her mommy is. As I ask her this, Mom hits the corner with baby in belly, and is exasperated looking for her daughter. I advise her the mess that ole boy over there in the orange vest is cleaning up, was made by her daughter, and do you know what this heffer said? "Well Lynn always does things like this to get my attention all the time, its kind of cute actually." Excuse me?!?Cute is babies who coo, cute is newborn puppies, cute is not braking a $100 mirror. And the little girl is smiling, rubbing her moms belly, asking for candy. Now, no offense to any of my white people, I love white people, I am Miss white people, but if Lynn had been Lil Keisha....Lil Keisha would have gotten that ass whooped. Especially if it "happens all the time". Why?
The next incident happened Sunday at the grocery store. This one takes the cake to me bc I have seen it one too many times. I was there with my Goddaughter picking up a few things, and we were on the cereal isle. Now the cereal isle can be very crucial when you bring kids on it, too many colors I think. Trinity, my goddaughter, is 3. Very mature for her age, so I don't have to worry too much about her asking me for cereal or candy persistently. If I say no, I mean no and that's the end of that. Well we hit the isle, Trinity sees her princess cereal that her Mom always buys and she pulls them off the shelf and asks, "Shi Shi, can I get dese?"(she calls me shi shi bc she can't pronounce my name) At that exact moment, this kid, little boy of the Caucasian descent, throws what looks like Superman cereal on the ground, stomps on the box, kicks it, then proceeds to lie down in the middle of the isle and give the traditional temper tantrum. He is yelling at the top of his lungs how much he hates his mommy, he never gets what he wants, and he can't stand her! And she just looks at him, puts the cereal in the basket, and says get up. She doesn't jack him back up on his feet, she didn't threaten him, and when he didn't get up, she didn't even look back, she just kept going. Me and Trinity were shocked. Like for real, both of us were staring, jaw dropped and wide eyed. Trinity was looking more like, yeah right, if I EVER did that, it would be on, and me, I was more like, "I'll give his ass something to cry about." Then we looked at eachother Trinity handed me the princess cereal, as to say, I don't want them that bad. I took them, put them in our basket, gave her a hug, she laughed, and the mother looked at me and said, "Kids these days", I looked at her honestly, and said "No your kid today." She didn't like that, and it didn't make it any better when Trinity threw her two cents in, "Shi Shi he cwazy lil boy", right as we turned off the cereal isle. Kids these days.....

AND FOR THE RECORD....
I have to get this off my chest, bc a guy approached me this past weekend, and I have been dealing with it all week. Just left a nasty taste in my mouth! *mimicking gagging like I am about to throw up*
Disclaimer: I know not all men are like this, so
to the men with impecable class and taste,
I apologize in advance:)
-When dancing with me at the club, hands are to stay in the North Region of my body, without going into the mountain section Thank You very much!!!
-Take ur sunglasses off when you are talking to me. There is not a one drop of sun in this club......
-Don't claim stake on me...I am not yours, anyone else is free to try if they want to. So stop telling people your are my man!
-I know I dance well.....don't announce it to the whole damn club....I don't like being enclosed in circles with people oogling me....
-Please don't ask me for my number at the club, then turn around and ask my girl for hers....why?
-IF, and only IF you are lucky enough to get the digits, DO NOT call me as soon as you get in the parking lot and leave a message to say " Um, I was just making sure you gave me the right number." WTF!?
-Pace yourself bro, we don't know eachother, and your already asking to come to my house, after the 1st! time we talk on the phone????
-My panty size is none of your business right now, and at the pace your going it won't ever be.....
-I know I am thick, I damn proud of that....don't tell me "oooo u thick girl, I like em like that" no more.
-DON"T tell me to quit/ stop/ put on hold ANYTHING, I am doing to hang out with you...mind you dude, we have talked once!
-If I don't answer your 18 calls in 2 days, take hint....just take the damn hint.
-I am not cooking you no chicken, no cornbread, no greens, no nothing!! You really have no chance in hell of that, my special cooking is reserved for my man...when I get one..and your not it bro.
Sorry I had to get that off my chest....I feel a lot better now!
ps. I know my grammar is jacked in this post, but i had to get hood for a minute.....
