Pissed off today! This is the end of the week, Friday, TGIF! My car, which I never really had any technical problems with, decides to not start, again, today. Let me start from the beginning.....
We have had not so good week here in Dallas in terms of weather. Quite frankly, it scared me a little bit. We hit below freezing everyday this week, it snowed, it iced over, and I had to be at work everyday.....didn't matter. It freaked me out on Tues evening when I got off work how cold it was, bc the temperature did a gigantuous drop from Tue. afternoon into Tue. night, something like 21 degrees. I knew my car wasn't going to cooperate with the weather in terms of warming up...it was just too cold. So I crank my car up and it coughed, and stammered a little, and was fine. Then when I started driving to dinner to meet my girls, that is when I thought I was staring death in the face. My RPM's started revving by themselves, my car was jerking and spitting, lights were going on and off, then it died. I was so scared ya'll....but I kept my composure! I started it up again, called my mom and dad, let them know what was going on, and drove home, with the intent to take my car to the shop the next morning.
I was awaken by my mothers ring tone at 7:20 am the next morning, when I groggily answered, all I heard was "Look outside". When I did, it was white....a blanket of snow covered the grass, road, roof, everything. I was heated....my car was going to have to wait.
Do you know how it feels to be without a car?? To depend on people to have to pick you up and take you home? It makes me grateful and appreciative that I have the ability to do this on my own everyday. I hate asking people for rides, as much as they are okay with doing it, bc I do it for people, but I don't like being in the situation myself. It just doesn't feel right. Anywho......
So I take my car in and do you know how much it is going to cost to get fixed $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you could see my face when they said that......you would've been like "GIRL PICK YO MOUTH UP OFF THE FLOOR".... I wanted to cry. But again, I kept my composure, dialed Mom's number, and pleaded for them to help me. Without hesitation, they told me to tell the mechanic to go ahead, but made sure that I have to pay them back before tax season is over. (Getting credit from your parents, alot easier than putting something on a credit card) Love my parents...they help us WHENEVER we are in need....
So ya girl is looking for a bus pass....naw! I'm playin, I got some good friends who are making sure that I get to work okay, and making sure that I get home fine. Mom is keeping tabs with the mechanic while I am at work, SOOOOOO all is well. My face is fixed...cuz I had "stankface" for about 2 hours about my car!! Freakin weather....
P.S.~Stalkerboy offered me a mechanic!! I do not need no bootleg a$$ dude to fix my car for a 40oz and a pack of kools?!?!?! I told that fool to the left to the left, you must not know bout me! KEPT MY COMPOSURE THOUGH!!!
